TVs and CRT Monitors
Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) TVs and monitors processing aims at the collection and safe disposal of both the fluorescent material (coating), as well as of the electrical and electronic capacitors contained in these devices.
Processing is performed through an automated recycling line at the BIANATT plant. However, at the initial stage, each device is disassembled manually, and the various components (plastic, metal, wires, etc) are converted into recycled products, which are sold to industrial clients as secondary raw materials.
Then, the CRT monitor cones are driven through a hot tape line, which separates the front panel from the rare funnel, and the fluorescent coating is removed by suction.
The fluorescent coating is shipped for further treatment to specialised units abroad and both glass parts of the cone are recycled, destined for various applications (design, ceramic industry, etc).
